If you are interested in becoming a foster parent or it you would like to learn how to join a support team for a foster family in our community, please attend an orientation meeting at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 23 in the Youth Ministry Building at First Presbyterian Church, Augusta. There is a GREAT need for loving families who can provide healing through the gospel to children in need. There are three levels of foster care involvement: infant care of a newborn between birth and placement in an adoptive family; “Safe Home” care for children of a family in crisis for a brief time period; and true foster care through DFACS. This orientation will be taught by Bethany Christian Services as part of a larger Foster Care Summit. Community members are invited to the orientation as well as to sit in on the training provided for current foster families throughout the rest of the day. To register, please contact Jennifer Drake, or use our contact page.
